First-time light programming

This was the first time ever I worked with lighting equipment and lighting software in an auditorium. Nathan, one of my fellow students took the time and taught me the basics of how to use the software called Daslight. Daslight is a software that works with a lighting desk that consists of buttons. In this video, I was on the PC mode of the Daslight software, which allows me to connect to the lighting desk and program lighting states on the laptop, and the changes I made would change the lights in the auditorium. Above is a video evidence of me trying the create the lighting states while Nathan is down on the stage instructing me. This little tutorial gave me an idea of how a lighting state could be really complicated to program. After the tutorial, I was able to gain some knowledge of how to operate Daslight. After today I would aim to practice with Nathan in future shows and events to improve my familiarity with the equipment.
